Touchstone is seeking motivated, creative individuals to serve as Studio Resident Assistants for the 2010 season. The Studio Residant Assistant (SRA) Program has been implemented at Touchstone for more than 20 years and provides an opportunity for college students and artisans to further their educational experience by spending a summer at Touchstone. Each SRA is designated to a studio, and by assisting in classes, has the opportunity to interact with and learn from the slate of renowned artists who teach throughout the summer. In return, SRAs provide a valuable resource for Touchstone by maintaining and managing the studios. This education-by-immersion provides our SRAs with a hands-on understanding of the full operational and maintenance costs of a typical studio, enabling them to pursue financially successful careers as artists.
