Through images and conversation\, Seymour will share how time spent at Fallingwater and in Touchstone’s studios inspired a new body of sculptural ceramic chandeliers created for Fallingwater’s 90th anniversary.  \n\n\n\nDeveloped through a partnership between Fallingwater and Touchstone Center for Crafts\, this residency invited Mike Seymour to draw inspiration from one of the world’s most celebrated works of architecture before creating new work in Touchstone’s studios for exhibition at Fallingwater. Working across ceramics\, metal\, glass\, and industrial processes\, he creates sculptural works that explore material\, light\, and place. Trained in architecture at the University of Manitoba\, Seymour’s practice draws on both architectural thinking and hands-on making. His work has been exhibited internationally\, including Milan\, and this residency provided the opportunity to unite those two disciplines in a site-specific body of work for one of the world’s most celebrated houses.
