Staff

Seasonal Staff, May through September:

Wintertime Communications

From December through February, the winter weather at Touchstone’s woodland campus can be especially harsh. Any inclement weather seems to have a debilitating effect on office operations. As a result, the staff will occasionally work remotely, where phone lines, road conditions, and internet connections are more reliable. If you call during office hours, and fail to reach a staff member, please leave a message. We will address your questions and/or concerns as expeditiously as possible. The most reliable method of communication with a staff member during these three months of unpredictable weather is email. Don’t worry! Touchstone’s campus conditions are quite nice from April through September when workshops take place.

Mission Statement: Touchstone Center for Crafts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to advance excellence in the arts and crafts by educating and encouraging individuals to develop technical skills, good design, and innovative expression.

Touchstone Center for Crafts condemns all acts of racism, discrimination, and senseless violence. We firmly believe that everyone has a right to dignity, respect, and equality without fear.  As an organization, we commit to listen and learn and to grow. We will continue to work to empower people to use art as a means of expression, a way to build community, and a powerful voice for change.
