All Levels $200-$250 Materials and Studio Fees*
Discover the essentials of stained-glass construction and how to enhance designs with basic brushed lines and shading. You will learn the fundamentals of glass cutting and shaping, foiling, soldering, and finishing. Additionally, the rudiments of painting trace lines, shading and kiln-firing painted work will be covered. By the end of this workshop, you will have made one or two ready-to-hang windows. Participants are encouraged and guided in creating their own imagery but must forward their designs to the instructor first for approval. Sample project possibilities will be available in class, as well as on-the-spot guidance in designing an image.
While no glass working experience is necessary, those who have previously done stained glass will have an opportunity to refine their skills and learn new techniques.
*Materials and studio fees are charged to students based on studio usage and materials Touchstone is providing at the request of the instructor. Additionally, some instructors may also require that you bring certain materials and tools with you, in which case a list will be provided. Final cost of these fees will be posted at least two weeks ahead of the workshop to be paid in full prior to check-in.
