Daniel Tomcik is a functional potter, born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Daniel started working in clay at California University of Pennsylvania, where he earned his BFA with a concentration in ceramics. Daniel has worked as the lab tech intern at Standard Ceramic Supply Company, wood kiln assistant at Baltimore Clayworks, seasonal studio staff at Watershed Ceramics, as well as various roles at Touchstone Center for Crafts including resident artist, studio assistant, and Studio and Grounds Manager.
