Doug Jones is an artist, designer, and educator in Michigan. He earned his MFA at Cranbrook Academy of Art (Bloomfield Hills, MI) from the Print Media and Architecture departments, and his BA at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI). Jones specializes in all-inclusive design, which includes his large-scale and public work. 2023, Jones unveiled co-creative public garden designs, steel sculptures, and a mixed media monument. Separately, Jones exhibits print media, fiber, paint, drawing, sculpture, film, photography, ceramics, and mixed media projects. This includes Mare Incognitum: Waters Unknown, Jones’ recent solo exhibition and installations at Irwin House Gallery & Global Art Center in Detroit that included a program made possible with generous support from McArthur Binion’s Modern Ancient Brown Foundation.
