Heather Liverman discovered metalsmithing while studying archaeology at Coastal Carolina University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. After graduating, she continued to hone her craft focusing primarily on, hand-fabrication using traditional techniques including angle raising, forging, and chasing and repoussé. Liverman is currently pursuing her MFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing at Towson University, where her research celebrates the cucurbit family and its cultural and ecological contributions to humanity.
