Julia Harrison is an artist and educator specializing in wood and carving. Julia was a 2025 National Resident Artist at Contemporary Craft, a 2020-24 Resident Artist at the Penland School of Craft, and a 2024 Maker-Creator Fellow at the Winterthur Museum, where she researched 19th century wooden confectionery molds. As an instructor, Julia’s goal is to make new materials and processes as accessible as possible and to help students realize their own personal goals and visions.
