Motoko Furuhashi is an artist and Associate Professor at New Mexico State University. Furuhashi received her MFA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her works have been exhibited nationally and internationally, including the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, the Oakland Museum of California, Alliages in Lilly, France, and Munich Jewelry Week. Furuhashi’s site-specific research is driven by her past and rooted in the desire to explore the unknown.
