Join Curt LaCross in an intensive hands-on workshop where he will demonstrate innovative methods for fabricating striking life-like clay subjects. Participants will learn to work on an armature, explore facial anatomy, and develop their concepts. The workshop includes refining sculptures and understanding LaCross’s post-firing processes for achieving cosmetic exteriors. Attendees will be introduced to new surface treatment techniques, including tool fabrication and working with resins. This event promises to be enlightening, enabling participants to execute LaCross’s methods in creating their own sculpted bust.
*Materials and studio fees are charged to students based on studio usage and materials Touchstone is providing at the request of the instructor. Additionally, some instructors may also require that you bring certain materials and tools with you, in which case a list will be provided. Final cost of these fees will be posted at least two weeks ahead of the workshop to be paid in full prior to check-in.
