No Experience – Beginner | TBD Materials and Studio Fees*
Fuse and Foil is a 5-day workshop for beginner to intermediate flat glass participants interested in exploring new ways of imagining stained glass projects. We will start with paper and pencil, exploring shapes and lines to develop our designs. Participants will learn basic skills for working with flat glass, such as cutting, grinding, copper foiling, and soldering. We will also dive into the processes of fused glass imagery using enamels, glass powders, and layered glass to create complex and interesting designs to incorporate into our stained glass panels. We encourage each participant to create objects they are excited to display in their home.
*Materials and studio fees are charged to students based on studio usage and materials Touchstone is providing at the request of the instructor. Additionally, some instructors may also require that you bring certain materials and tools with you, in which case a list will be provided. Final cost of these fees will be posted at least two weeks ahead of the workshop to be paid in full prior to check-in.
