Beginner-Intermediate $80-$130 Materials and Studio Fees*
During this workshop, participants will gain proficiency in vessel construction with medium leather hard slabs. Specifically, we will discuss using paper templates to create repeatable forms, and design our own templates to test out. We will cover techniques such as: rolling and compressing a slab, miter angle cuts and their importance to the overall shape of a vessel, surface care in preparation of stamped patterns, generating paper templates of our own design, and drawing inspiration from objects to transform into paper templates. Attendees will leave with the confidence to build asymmetrical forms through slab building.
