K-12 Student Field Trips

Elementary, middle, and high school student groups are welcomed to campus to tour our galleries and grounds, view two live artist demonstrations, plus participate in a hands-on activity. Demonstrations and activities are dependent on the group’s size and students’ age/grade range. Lunch service is not available to K-12 student groups; however, your group may bring bagged lunches to eat at the dining hall. School groups must have one adult chaperone per ten students. Chaperones will receive complimentary tour access to attend with their group. Each student and chaperone will be required to submit a completed waiver of liability to attend a field trip.

Please review the Creative Retreat option information if your high school student group or school administration/faculty group is interested in booking an immersive studio mini workshop.

Creative Retreat

Get your group together and get creative! Private adult and high school groups will learn more about the organization, view current exhibitions, get a peek at all studios, and meet artists along the way. Your group will then enjoy an exciting  2-hour mini workshop in the blacksmithing, ceramics,  glass, metals/jewelry, or painting/drawing studio. All mini workshops are appropriate for beginners. Each participant/student will have a keepsake they created during the mini workshop; Some projects may require that keepsake items are picked up or shipped (at group or participant cost) at a later date due to the need to kiln fire (generally in ceramics and glass). Mini workshops are dependent on the number of participants/students as well as studio and artist availability. A lunch add-on option is available. Each participant/student will be required to submit a completed waiver of liability to attend a creative retreat.
