Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper

Touchstone Center for Crafts is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time
Bookkeeper to manage our financial transactions and records for approximately 5-10 hours per week, to start as soon as possible. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, experienced in bookkeeping, and comfortable working independently. As our organization grows, this position has the potential to also grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Record and categorize financial transactions in accounting software
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
  • Process invoices, payments, and expenses
  • Prepare financial reports (profit & loss, balance sheets, etc.)
  • Track and manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations & tax reporting
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation
  • Prepare records and work with auditors on yearly audit
  • Submit bi-weekly payroll details to payroll company
  • Collaborate with executive director as needed


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accountant, or similar role
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines


Preferred:

  • Experience working with nonprofit or creative industries
  • Familiarity with tax preparation
    Hours & Compensation:
  • Approximately 5-10 hours per week (flexible schedule)
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Volunteering

With 100+ workshops, symposiums, special events, and 230 woodland acres to manage, Touchstone is always looking for an extra hand (or ten) to help out. Volunteer activities usually revolve around cleaning, landscaping, and construction, but we are always willing to learn what your volunteering interests are and try and match them with our needs.
