*Basic Glass Working Skills: Participants should have a basic understanding of glass working techniques such as understanding and creating personal tools for glass distribution, various mold-making techniques (silicone & plaster), powder/frit forming and packing, and kiln operation.
Familiarity with Glass Materials: Prior experience working with various types of glass, including fusing glass and glass powders, can be beneficial in grasping the nuances of Pâte de Verre and achieving desired artistic results.
Knowledge of Kiln Operation: A basic understanding of kiln operation and temperature control is essential for successful Pâte de Verre projects, as the firing process plays a crucial role in shaping the final outcome of the glasswork.
Artistic Creativity & Attention to Detail: An eye for design, creativity in exploring different color combinations and forms, as well as a meticulous approach to detail are important prerequisites for participants to fully express their artistic vision through the medium of Pâte de Verre.
